Yes, he does seem like the true talent and driving force of the band. Kiedis and Flea are just the funny figurehead guys to market around. He's widely respect in all the guitar world. He was able to give them a unique sound that a million other bands tried to copy in the 90's

He's an interesting guy. He's really spiritual and doesn't use drugs or alcohol anymore. He was scared he would lose his talent stopping it all but he just got better. There is a line in This Velvet Glove "John says to live above hell" that always resonated with me. It's more meaningful because he actually did it, anyone can talk doing it is another matter.

I think read something that he tries to be like Jesus and tried to love the sinners but there comes a point where it's detrimental to you and you aren't helping them either. It's tough being around druggies and alcoholics. John loves himself, they don't. Self love is the first step. People can lie to themselves acting like they are positive people and are about love but they don't have self love to take care of themselves. It's sad.

That pizza yesterday was fricking AMAAAAAAZING!!!!!!!

No bullshit, legit maybe the best pizza I ever had in my life, it was like exactly what you want a pizza to taste and it usually never does but these people at this sit down joint NAILED IT!!
That dry, crispy yet chewy and moist crust you only get with wood fired ovens, nice stretchy cheese that you can pull for a mile, sweet tangy sauce and a mountain of delicious toppings
Oh, it was so good, I want some more right now

There's a throwaway line in the first Iron-man "you don't respect yourself so I know you don't respect me." It's just a little joke but it always hit with me and a similar thinking

You know how I like the say, "the look matters" it's a little deeper than just superficial looks. Someone who is truly healthy naturally gravitates to getting their bodies healthy. Low and behold, a healthy body looks nice(not talking about someone abusing steroids). A healthy person just cares more about their vessel. Taking care of our vessel is an important lesson we are supposed to learn here IMO.
