No one is truly introverted or extraverted anyways. We just lean more to one side at different points in our lives. Also, the man who came up with those concepts even acknowledged we were two complicated a species to fall into two labels so he came up with four other styles of functioning - thinking, sensing, feeling, and intuitive. He believed all these character types were in inherent in everyone's unconscious and can be drawn into consciousness. I believe that. I've done it myself. I can be anything and anytime.

Going into a deep state of introversion is really vital for most people. It's required for a process called individuation. Pretty much self realization/self actualization. You really can't reach it in a constant state of extraversion. Whenever I see l people who can't stand being alone with their thoughts I worry about them. The best thing I ever did was fall off the face of the Earth for a few years and figure out who and what I was. If I was going out to the bar partying all the time that would have never happened.

Pretty sad how you see old couple staying together out of convenience instead of love. When I was going through my near psychotic break for that year I went non verbal. I couldn't really fathom what was happening to me plus I was sick with alcoholism. I'd go days only saying a couple words to my wife and kids. I regressed to when I was a kid and would stop talking after some crazy stuff went down. Now my wife can't get me to be quiet. I'm always joking and saying random stuff that comes up in my head. My wife loves it unless shes trying to watch a movie. I'm a lot more loving and am able to receive love better. It's nice, Roll. I didn't know what real happiness felt like. I feel very blessed to have made it out.
