Stephen Neal was a D1 wrestling champion who never played college football. He was signed by the Pats. He went on to be a crucial element to protecting Brady in those initial Pats championships and had a decade long NFL career. All at a position that’s even more technical than defensive line. It’s a skill set that transitions very well if you put the work in.

Stephen Neal was a good high school player that was recruited to play college football though, but chose wrestling because he wasn't recruited to a big D1 school for football, but was for wrestling. He played football his entire life before college.
They're out here saying Gable Steveson has never laced up a pair of cleats or stepped on a football field. Guy is a freak athlete though, so if anybody can prove naysayers wrong it would be someone like him.
