Some tough lessons we all gotta learn in life, hopefully I never have to learn not to try to parry a machete with my bare wrist but ya never know, jack!

Yeah I don't really like the Big Noon Kickoff gimmick and how they try to make it their big game for the day. Even on eastern time, that's just too early for that big game feel.
 
@Pliny Pete this audio book is great and I love all the info. The narration is about like a PBS documentary though. It’s easy to zone out sometimes and I have to go back. So many names and information!

Yea, its got so many moving parts as the story goes along that i kept having to go back and reread earlier paragraphs here and there to remember who was doing what

One thing you might miss out on in the audio version is the endnotes, that book is full of so much stuff that the endnotes were like a whole new little booklet packed to the rafters with pages and pages of one or two sentence little stories and facts
 
Im glad you like it, though, one of the best rasslin books out there imo because it navigates through so much information and history and keeps the pace flowing pretty smoothly while still being super informative and entertaining

I’d love to be a fly on the wall for these annual NWA promoter meetings. I can only image all their arguing amongst each other while try to control their own interests and “work together”
