That period is really when he became the out of control genetic freak we all know and love. "This show sucks, if you're watching at home you need to change the channel and watch Monday Night Raw instead!"

Shooting on Flair so hard he got suspended...lol

That’s how you should do “this town sucks!” Heat. He has good reason to and it means something.

I see why I dont remember it, I was unavailable most of the year 2000
Really bad luck period for WCW. Bret/Hall/Nash/Jarrett formed "NWO Elite" and were supposed to feud with Goldberg throughout the year. Then Golberg shoot punched a real limo window and almost lost his right arm. Bret had to retire, Hall finally got fired, Nash got hurt, Jarrett got hurt, Russo got sent home (with pay, of course) and their brand new world champion Benoit bolted a day later because Kevin Sullivan was interim booker.

And Steiner in NWO 2000 after a fake retirement....

Benoit left as champion?

OK, now I really hate him!

More genuine when a guy reps his hometown team in another city (Jarret Tenn, Steiner in Ohio) as opposed to just talking shit for a cheap pop.
IIRC, he told Conrad that he didn’t even plan it. The jersey was already in his bag on that loop. I think he had worn it for a street fight and kept it in there just in case

That reminds me, Don Callis did an interview recently where he said something along the lines of, "I like to rile up the fans but I don't want to get too much heat." As soon as Tony heard that he should've fired him.

Just got done with my doctors appointment, blood pressure 115 over 73 and my A1C(Diabetes) level dropped from 11.2 to 10.4 since November

I should give speeches in schools and be a hero to the children

He just can't stop winning!

@Pliny Pete Now Steamboat and Youngblood have those nice belts I brought up with Slaughter the other day on the stream. I think it's right after that supershow in Greensboro where thousands of people got turned away.
