@Pliny Pete I'm trying to come up with a list of the greatest moments in each territory's main venue. For the Omni, would it be Ole turning on Dusty, the Last Battle of Atlanta, Flair turning on Dusty, or Wargames? Or NWA champ vs WWWF champ?

Jim Cornette falling off the scaffold and breaking his fucking legs

<Lmaoo> <Lmaoo> <Lmaoo> <Lmaoo>

But seriously, Last Battle Of Atlanta is only so famous because it was a tape traders holy grail for so many decades so eliminate that

Flair turning on Dusty was a redo of the Ole angle, it helped make JCP red hot in 86 but the actual moment didnt have the heat the original did, you can watch the video of the Ole angle and fans were legit trying to storm that cage and tear it down

For me personally, nothing is bigger than Wargames/The Match Beyond, that was such an amazing storyline that delivered huge in the blowoff and is still around(kinda) to this day

I dont know if I can go against the Ole turn though, that single moment is so legendary, I think I have to choose it

Video isn't available in Canada!! What is it?

On a sidenote, the latest reliving the war is April 16 1999 and god damn, Flair is still pretty ripped at this point. He has a pretty good six pack going (in more than one sense), Less than two years later he is wrestling in a t-shirt against the Stinger.
Some Vice short entitle “the downfall of Vince McMahon”

Roy Shire's first show in 1961 had 16k crammed into the Cow Palace even though they only had 12k seats.

16,000 the first time out off the strength of a Saturday morning studio show, it was a simpler time

I wonder if they had the balconies open then, those huge black and red curtains run along both sides of the arena and I assume there is a second level up there hiding behind them but Ive never actually saw it

Listening to my favorite movie podcast right now and theyre talking about how money numbers were expected to be down this year after The Marvels and Aquaman fell flat but the fact that the studios have released so many new random movies in the past month has helped them hit 9 billion this year in ticket sales

With the MCU taking a step back and the Hollywood strikes putting everything behind schedule, maybe we can get back to a full bounty of varied mid tier movie releases in 2024 and stop dumping everything to streaming

Those mom & dad date night movies that do 40-50 million start to add up quick if you give people a nice selection to choose from, like we used to have back in the olden days of the 90's and early 2000's

Sounds like Migration is proving to be a nice little earner too, Im glad, that is an adorable movie that deserves to be enjoyed by all

I was hoping No Hard Feelings would do better and we'd get a little resurgence of Hangover/Wedding Crashers rated R comedies

I'm surprised he didn't become a bigger star. Had the heart throb 80's look, decent enough talker and could go.
He had a car wreck right before getting a big push in Mid South. Then Dusty and Flair took a shit all over the UWF guys after Crockett bought it.

Uncle Dave's star ratings for the last week. Danielson vs. Okada was 3.5 star at best. Uncle Dave probably threw 5+ at it cause he didn't want a Dome show to go by without a 5 star match lol, match was like the 4th or 5th best match of the night.

Completely forgot about the wreck.

Vince making him the Red Rooster ended any hope he had.

I did enjoy his run as Terrance Taylor with Michael Wallstreet and Alexandra York.

Edit: Forgot that Wallstreet left for WWF before Taylor actually joined. But I digged the idea of the York Foundation.

What did he rank the Extreme Rhinos vs Santas Helpers brawl from Bloody Christmas Volume Two

He had a car wreck right before getting a big push in Mid South. Then Dusty and Flair took a shit all over the UWF guys after Crockett bought it.

He still got a good push in the UWF, Watts kept him near the top of the card and he had the main event feud against Chris Adams which was hot as a firecracker at the time
Red Rooster killed him dead, though
RIP to a real one

That match had 5 stars before it even got in the ring lol

It's funny how Danielson never got a 5 star match until he joined AEW in his 40's. Now he has 8 in two years, 3 of which have been above 5<Lmaoo>

Dave named an award after him and still refused to give him a 5 star match in WWE <45>

I said I was taking a bit of a break but this poster right here is tempting me, Lucha Libre, live bandas and food trucks as far as the eye can see at the Stockton Fairgrounds tomorrow, should be a whale of a good time!
Although I suspect the creators of this advertisement do not understand what the term "Open Bar" actually means

Could a corporate version of Warrior worked as a heel in 98 WWF?
