When did the Grinch overtake Santa Claus as the official mascot of Christmas?
Damn near everyone I see posting pics on Facebook has Grinch all over the place, Christmas trees, hanging on the walls, in the windows, people dressed as the Grinch at their house, everywhere Grinch, Grinch, Grinch
I dont remember it being like this even last year, I'll bet Tik Tok has something to do with this

I've noticed there has definitely been a rejuvenation in the last few years of the Jim Carrey Grinch. I'm right in the perfect age group for the nostalgia for it, I vividly remember seeing it in the theatre after a night of Christmas shopping with the family as a kid. All the ingredients for a magical memory! And I only just kinda like it.

Did you like it when you were a youngster? I woulda been 12ish and I really really didn't like it. Summer watched the Christmas Carol (her favorite Christmas story) starring Jim Carrey the other day and she said it was by far the worst CC adaptation she'd ever seen, and possibly the worst movie she'd ever seen

We got the book for Christmas, but also How the Grinch Lost Christmas??? And there are others in the series??? Wtf!

Funny, me and my sister tried to watch that last year and made it about 20 minutes. She said how is this for kids, this is horrifying! It was a really weird adaptation and creepy. Not in the good kind of creepy Christmas like Scrooged and Batman Returns either.

I remember being pretty mixed on it, even as a kid. It was never in my have to watch list even then.

Someone posted the Flair scene from The Iron Claw on Reddit.

Good lord that was horrible. The terrible wrestler casting on Young Rock was excellent in comparison to whatever that Flair shit was.

You may wanna invite your mother also, I told my mom she should go see it, this is the type of emotional movie that will really touch a mothers soul with a couple very poignant scenes that will probably bring them to tears as they watch Doris try and find the strength to go on

I invited her but she read the whole story in Entertainment Weekly or something and said she didn’t want to see it and it sounded depressing. It is, that’s the point!

Do u know when/why it started?

I understand u guys wear red up here
And we wear blue where i'm at but wasn't sure if the hair thing was part of that.

Nobody back home is walking around with a blue streak in their hair on the daily.

@moonwolf I started seeing red hair everywhere when Eva Marie was hot on the scene, I dont know if it came from that though, she's from Concord so maybe she started it or maybe she was an early adopter, even Jacob Fatu has a red patch in his hair

Im sure some of it came from gang influence but i doubt it all did though, who knows, maybe im wrong or maybe Im right, I hope that helps

It looks sexy as fuck, thats all I know
