New updated California high school rankings just came out and my son is now an "honorable mention". About 10 spots from being ranked. And then after honorable mentions they have about 15 wrestlers who are "in the hunt" to be an honorable mention. He's never even made the list before. He has the Tournament of Champions next week down in La Habra, if he can medal there I think that will get him ranked.

You ever been to Great Wolf Lodge in Anaheim, Moom? We are going to be down there from the 29th to the 1st for that big tournament but we are spending new years eve at Great Wolf Lodge. We've never been but it seems neat with the indoor Waterpark and all. Seemed like a nice place for my son to unwind after a big tournament. He has two big duels on the 2nd and 3rd as soon as we come back lol

Oh, man. I forgot. There was almost a brawl right in front of me between this big Samoan dad and the wrestlers coach his kid was wrestling at the last tournament. The Samoan's son had a bad shoulder and the coaches were yelling, "pull his arm!". That triggered the dad and he went over and started yelling but calmed down. But then with about 20 seconds left in the match I think something tore in the kid's shoulder and he fell down crying. The Samoan dad went wild and charged the coach telling him to go outside. Some white lady was looking at me like I should break them up. No, mam. Ol Rex doesn't engage in violence anymore and damn sure not for free(there were plenty of people to break them up). I just felt bad for that kid.

I've only been to outdoor waterparks.

Yeah and the wrestlers refused to listen to his coach and pull his arm. And when the kid went down yelling his coaches were yelling at him to get him but he refused. He could have pinned him. This was a huge tournament and every win mattered. My son made the honorable mentions by going 4-2 there. Kid showed some class and professionalism. Those coaches were shit.

They opened one of those up here in Manteca during 2020 lockdown, I was planning on going to it in 2019 but havent made it yet cause I didnt wanna waste all that money for a halfway adventure and then I forgot about it til this very moment, i wonder if it survived the scamdemic

My brother lives in Manteca. He stayed there and said it was alright, but was too expensive. $400 a room but you get access to the waterpark all day you check in and all day you check out. I just want my son to chill and relax for a bit before the season ramps up. January and February is balls to the wall.
