10 years later and the same ass people are still in here still complaining about Raw, I guess Trips was wrong, some things never change

Now that the dust has settled, it's time to relegate Punk to the second biggest return of the year cause tonight's the night!

Are the neckbeards really the audience that WWE is catering to though? I always hear how wrestling companies need to stop catering to the hardcores and expand their audience, yet it's now a good thing that WWE is using one of their biggest signings in years to stick it to a niche audience.
I’m not saying that’s what they’re necessarily going for, that’s just why I liked it.

How awesome would it be if they got rid of the current NXT and had a territorial system for developmental instead? Philly, Orlando, Chicago, Dallas, and Vegas. And if you didn't have an IP address within 50 miles of each territory then you'd have to tape trade.

Some might say This Business has never been more alive

What did you think of it?
I seen it in theaters and loved it and still love it, recommended it to my cousins and their girls for a double date night, they were furious with me afterwards

🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️
I was kinda disappointed because of how much it's been hyped up the past 25 years. But I'm gonna strive to be Walter Sobchak if I live to see my 50s.

Jesus Quintana may be my all time favorite movie quote that Ive used the most over the years

You got a date Wednesday, baybay!!

I think a lot of that has to do with whatever they are setting up with Seth Rollins. One of them is flipping to heel eventually. Over the weekend Rollins made mention in the ring of Punk trying to destroy the WWE in the past and he got jumped in the ring today. So, he's still a face so far.

I could see either of them flipping, depending on crowd reactions to Punk. If the crowd accepts Punk, you go with him as the face, if not, you go with Rollins.

I expect we are in a holding pattern for now, until they figure out what to do with Punk. He can't cut a promo on AEW due to NDAs. He can't rage on WWE yet, as he just opted back in - would make no sense. No feuds set up yet. What's really to talk about?

You could have one of the faces from the winning team confront him for upstaging them. But they're all faces and that would come off as petty and small and that also forces your heel turn without much thought or long-term strategy. So, vanilla promo.
Good post. Agree on all.

Also, triple h likes the slow burn and buildup. I can see Rollins punk not happening till mania.

I found it extremely fascinating how Punk is back, gives a complete bullshit promo about how much he´s miss this/he´s home, fans eat it up, reports come back that everyone in the back is surprised about how nice and humble he acted. It´s groundhog day over and over and over again, and he´ll starting acting like a fucking prick in a few months, probably have a fallout, then quit/get fired, people will start especulating about him coming back to AEW... rinse and repeat. Motherfucker has made a career about being so controversial that everyone is buzzing where he´s going to be next. Smartest guy in wrestling in a very long time.

The only thing I´m curious to see unfold is if HHH/Vince are stubborn enough to never give him that Wrestlemania main spot he´s always vouched for.
I can see it working this time like Jesus HBK.
Cm punks original beef with WWE was largely admin (aside from ryback) which is now very different. And a lot of that hatred was probably magnified by burnout, which I don’t see being an issue this time with a probably reduced schedule compared to last time.

But I wouldn’t at all be surprised if I were wrong. Dude needs some conflict resolution therapy.
