Spent the day at an invitational...each school could bring 18 kids. One of the long time kids at my gym who's a freshman wrestler this year made the finals. His opponent...the senior from his school who was top 10 last year at this weight. Their HS coach told them before the finals that is was going to count as the wrestle off for the first half of the season. 7 minutes later with a takedown in sudden victory...my boy has the varsity starting spot.
