I will have to look up these bands. Intrigued
It's hard to say what In Flames album to start with cause I don't know much of what you like outside of Ghost.
If you like more old school melodic death metal, Swedish metal...
If you enjoy harsher:
The Jester Race
Whoreacle
More melodic and clean but still epic harmomies and riffs:
Colony
Clayman
If you like more mid 00s metal-mainstreamish metal
Come Clarity
They have been through a bunch of different Sounds/eras
Meshuggah are stupid influential and basically spawned the hole "Djent" genre cause around the time of the "Nothing" ep they started using 8/7 strings. But even since the early 90s they were doing crazy guitar tones and time signature.
Their three best imo are:
Destroy, Erase, Improve
Chaosphere
Nothing EP
Obzen is their more modern master piece. The song "Bleed" has become some what mythical in modern metal due to its insane time signatures and drumming. Haake is one of the best to ever play drums and ALOT of metal albums the past 20 years use the drum kit he helped program - the drum kit from hell.
Converge is hard to recommend cause they are so aggressive and heavy but "hardcore"...yet progressive.
Just listen to their opus "Jane Doe". If you don't dig it, you won't like em
Sorry, metal/punk/music in general had always been my thing and when it involved my fav bands I get stupid.
He'll tonight I was chilling in my room of doom listening to recorded by Clutch, All Them Witches and Depeche Mode whilst extreme rules was on mute on my TV until cool.stuff happened.
Ps whoever told Bianca to start wearing trunks instead of pants deserves a raise.
