I think she was given several opportunities and just never got sustained momentum from the audience. Per your own post she’s had multiple title runs.
She’s one of those talents people like to cheer as an underdog then drop as soon as she has the title and gets main events. I don’t think she’s a talent that falls into the I was never given a chance category
However, as far as I'm concerned, Austin was right to do it.
Disagree. It’s a job. A job ur being paid at least six figure for and getting exposure that you can parlay for paydays for the rest of your life. Don’t walk out on an event ur advertised on like a child because of creative. If you want to walk out because you say you’re injured and can’t compete but they are trying to force u to compete then I understand. But if it’s because creative then put your adult clothes on and tell the boss you want a release and are not gonna wrestle after x amount of days. That way they can stop advertising and put your shoulders on the mat for a month on the way out like it should be.I'm not big on Sasha or Naomi. Sasha? She's excellent if used right. Naomi? Years of nothing.
However, as far as I'm concerned, Austin was right to do it. PAC was right to do it. Banks and Naomi are right to do it.
Wrestlers just putting up with being given trash is why the product is so toothless nowadays. It's why, when a wrestler is missing from a show, nobody notices.
Did you see the whole lead up to the man? I’m not sure what metrics wwe goes by, but I would be surprised if Becky didn’t completely blow away any merch numbers that Sasha had ever done during that run.No more momentum than Flair, Lynch, or Bianca during their runs.
Not everyone can get the same crowd reaction as babyface Rousey.
It depends on what is expected of a female champion.
Does Flair, Bianca, or Lynch really sell significantly more merch or sell more tickets than Banks?
Obviously Rousey does, but that's for obvious reasons.
I’ve had that dream too pereI had a dream last night that a hamburger was eating me!
God damn lake, ya ain't gotta get hot about it!Disagree. It’s a job. A job ur being paid at least six figure for and getting exposure that you can parlay for paydays for the rest of your life. Lolzzz I ain’t hit about it. But I think a lot of peopleGod damn lake, ya ain't gotta get hot about it!
Did you see the whole lead up to the man?
Charlotte gets consistent heat in my opinion.
And from what I’ve seen most times Sasha was put in a main event spot or given a run the reaction floundered. And it was frustrating for me because I’m a Sasha fan.
Lolzzz I ain’t hit about it. But I think a lot of people
Lose sight that it’s a job with a contract. If I’m pissed at admin I don’t just walk out on my students and say fuck u in the middle of the semester. I’ll put in my notice and finish off the semester for all the students that paid. And I’ve been in that position before. But I finished the semester and let the admin know so they can hire someone else. I wouldn’t just screw everything up and leave the students hanging.
The main reason why those talents above are able to is because of the compensation and exposure they got from the company they are walking out of.
Can't explain how or why, but perhaps she's been the same over the last few years and she's in need of a gimmick change.
Into what? I have no idea, but whatever 'creative' (Vince) would have given her would probably bury her.
I think it showed in the Austin interview that "Mercedes Kaestner-Varnado" doesn't really have a personality outside of "Sasha Banks", and I don't think she can perform in a new gimmick.
