Instead of taking what the guy who was on top for over 30 years and applying it to their own career, they took it personally, took to Twitter and bitched and complained about it because he basically said "Put down the video games, don't concern yourself with being pretty and polished, and figure out how to get over passed the point of 'These guys on the internet say I'm good', and act like a man".

Then, they basically proved his point in the fallout, even going as far as willfully misinterpreting him to get their snarky comments out (from a safe distance, of course) to get the social media dopamine hit, because, like he said "The guys on the internet like me".

Here's a guy who came into the WWF as the bad guy from a cartoon and not only made it work then, but made it work through 80% of his career....a career that spanned the "more realistic" attitude era where a dude shooting lighting and acting like a dark wizard by all rights would've gotten booed out of the building if it were anyone else.

Yeah, I mean how long was he at the top exactly? How many decades has he been the marquee name in the WWF/E?

Honestly, if I were in charge of the WWE, I'd instantly halt the push of anyone who took issue with him on Twitter, and I'd blacklist anyone outside of the promotion from coming in. You may not agree with it, but you have to listen and respect it.

Dude has earned his right to voice his opinion a hundred times over, and even though I think that Joey Janela is an okay wrestler, his opinion isn't worth dick on comparison.
 
Taker is proving himself to be an old boomer whose pissed off kids arnt out there shooting heroin and raping each other in the showers for ribs.
Bitches about gimmicks and things when he was the most cartoonish gimmick of all, and has proven to be an old redneck asshole.
The more he talks the more I dont give a flying fuck about the under taker or his legacy.

Hes the Game Of Thrones season 6-7 of wrestlers - making me not want to go watch any of his old shit the more it goes on

Remember how Mark Henry and thse other idiots on busted open radio (do they only hire scumbags?) were bitching about how the younger guys were just supposed to accept bullying from vets, cause they had to?

It gets better and probably the best hero show for a long while. The KKK daddy is the best part of it. I didn’t realize for four episodes that the leader of the group was a man and not a woman.

It's also the point that these guys are at work. Yeah, there's downtime, and "Hurry up and wait" but you're still at work at the end of the day.

I remember Sheamus getting that monster push when he first came into WWE, but people often forget that the dude was turning up to shows that he wasn't even booked on so he could keep working and learning. It's like Vince always says "Perception is reality", and if brass are at the show, and they see someone working, and they see someone else messing about playing video games, who's the one they're gonna look at and go "Let's try something with them".

That's why The Miz main evented WrestleMania, and why he's the go-to for the media rounds.
