Kendrick didn't think that those old videos would come back to derail his career and WWE corporate probably had no clue it was around. He just wanted to work in AEW with his friends. Those quotes would get anyone canceled in 2022.
I think we totally agree that people should be held accountable for what they say, especially famous people. However, lets be honest, if any of us went famous today and they for example dig in deep on everything we´ve written online, I´m sure 99.9% of us would be cancelled in a heartbeat. That's a fair point. Superstars definitely get treated differently than also-rans.
I do think there's more to the Sandy Hook conspiracy fucks than just "rambling on," considering those lies led to the parents of the murdered children being harassed and threatened and even the poor son of a bitch across the street from the school that rescued some of the students got that treatment. We often like to act like "just words" don't cause harm, but they absolutely can, especially when coming from someone with some degree of fame. To be totally fair, I don't know exactly what he said about Sandy Hook or if he's publicly changed his tune. If he came out and said he was meth-addled jackass at the time and apologizes to the families and says Alex Jones can fuck himself even harder than the Young Bucks, I'd probably consider hiring him. (And almost certainly would if he had been younger at the time.) Tyson has served his time per our criminal justice system, so that would kind of be like doing the same.
I'm also not saying I'd boycott AEW for hiring him or that I think he deserves to die penniless on the street. Just that if I owned a company, I wouldn't want that employee.
I also wouldn't hire Clemson grads.

But with this big companies there is sooo much hipocrisy going on. Remember when Marvel fired James Gunn because of the backlash some old tweets, then he went to make a DC flick and a DC TV series and now he is back in Marvel?

Like I said in the previous thread, there is a huge problem when we´re given salty people a say in whose hired or fired depending on who they decide to target that day.
Hunter? Sure. Shane? Not so much.
There’s a great joke in Peacemaker that this reminded me ofIt also hurt all the people she injured.
TIL The Godfather gimmick was suggested by Godfathers wife lol
I think we need to all agree that if any of us ever get famous or run for public office, every last one of us will deny that that person is actually linked to their screen name here.
I understand the need for companies to worry about the bottom line and how a hire (or continued employment) will effect how much money they make, etc., but I totally agree there's got to be a better way. In a lot of cases, the people digging up the shit from 10-20 years ago are worse than the people who said the "offensive" stuff in the first place.

I know that’s why I’m against anything to do with Shane.I'm sure Hunter wakes up every morning in his new apartment and after scrolling through the bitchy messages from Stephanie, makes himself a pre workout coffee and thinks how much he wants to set up a partnership with the shitty prima donna son of his much more talented prima donna father in law, who he would be going into competition with.
And people say they don't envy Shawn Spears.
