It would have been perfect and still protected Goldberg. He steamrolled over Page with his brute strength but got out wrestled by DDP’s vet experience. Room to build on for both

I loved that DDP could hit that out of anywhere. Really added an extra layer to that finisher

IMO perfect way to end the streak. Goldy winning it back over DDP at the next PPV event/DDP losing it to challenger at the next PPV event. Either way, Goldy could still be an ace and DDP gets to hold the gold momentarily.

How they let DDP get the title at Spring Stampede in the Fatal Four Way worked pretty well too though. I just hated how they had Kevin Nash end the streak, only to be followed up by the Finger Poke of Doom.
