I blame this thread for Putin invading. He knew half of America were traitors and loved him more than the American president. I didn't like Trump/Biden/Hillary but I would never root for Putin over them. That's insane for an American to do.

This may be grass is greener but Putin.

But US doesn't have free healthcare or a social safety net so Putin(though lots of countries and leaders provide the things that Biden and the US doesn't, it's quite a low bar). US might have some advantages over Russia but I care about them far less than the otherway around. Biden yelled at a man with ALS that he was against M4A. I saw that the government wrote something about media only reporting what they want them to report or there would be consequences.

Its a terrible situations and I feel sorry for both Ukraine but also the average Russian.
They are in a war they did not want, and I am sure they will feel the sanctions more than the leaders.

Exactly. They enacted wartime censorship. Russian media have long been state-dominated, but this is something else. They even went further and Ministry of Culture told theater directors to see that actors refrain from condemning the war, which would be considered high treason (!).

Yeah, he we'll always find a way to pass the cost of those sanctions on us.
