    e.g.
Nate Diaz > Michael Johnson > Edson Barboza

    No takedowns or clinches involved

Off the top of my head I want to say

    Penn vs. Sanchez?

    Garcia vs. KZ 1

    Kongo vs. Barry

    I could be wrong.

A lot of takedown attempts from Sanchez

I'm pretty sure there was some takedown there.

When you're trying to finish a rocked opponent on the ground, this is not a kickboxing match anymore.

Steve Cantwell loved to do this.
I think most of his fights were like that.

    Cane-Cantwell, Stann-Cantwell 3, Diabate-Cantwell...

Velasquez-Stoinic...Cain simply turned him into his kickboxing sparring partner.

JDS-Mirco - or wait, that was more like Muai Thai.

    Mir-Nog 1.
Barboza-this british guy forgot his name.

Rory vs Lawler 2,unless you're counting the ending on the ground.

    Stann vs Silva.

    TJ vs Barao,both fights.

    Machida vs Shogun 1.

Even Condit/Lawler had no grappling whatsoever involved with the exception of 1 failed takedown attempt

If you don't count the end, CroCop-Barry was in that direction

PrideFC, but Pulver vs. Gomi. That was damn near a boxing match.

I think most MMA fans prefer stand-up fights as they boo when there is too much mat inaction. Suspending the ground and pound option would be a welcome sight.
