I recently broke my punch bag and need help deciding on its replacement. There's only two I can really choose from as I haven't currently got a credit card and was hoping someone could point out the Pro's and Con's of each bag.

I must point out that I don't want the bag for just boxing. I will be using it for kicks, knee's, elbows etc. So I'll need the most durable and practical bag for the job.

These are the two bags;

Any help would truely be appreciated.

well the top one looks longer , (thai bag) so if you wanted to work the full body area i would go with that one

I dont know anything about the Ry-KO bag but can advise you against buying a Bryan bag. I bought one when I 1st started boxing and they're filling is terrible. Compact sand at the bottom and fibres fill the rest of the bag. A few hard sessions later the bag is soft as shit and after one very painfull encounter with the sand whilst attempting a kick I have never used it since. They aint that cheap either

Im looking at buying one from ebay put a search under sporteq the leather bags are 4ft or 5ft, look quality and weight 40kg +. Not bad for under £50

Yeah, the Ry-Ko is 6ft whilst the Bryan is only 4ft but I was thinking that the Ry-ko would be to light at 21.5kg and fly all over the place when I kick it?

Is 21.5kg I good weight?

My last bag was filled with tissue type stuff but then at the bottom it was also rock solid. Hurt my feet many times.

Well, so far I'm leaning towards the Ry-ko bag although I don't know much about it. :icon_sad:

If you do find it too light you simply put some sand in it to weigh it down a bit more.At some stage it'll require repacking anyway when the guts in it compress.
