I need to agree with that? It's obvious. It doesn't mean Trump didn't win the popular vote. He did this by winning the majority of them, more than any other candidate did. It's silly word games to pretend otherwise.

That 1.5 percent amounts to almost 2.5 million more votes that Trump got. This election was absolutely decisive by every available metric. Electoral Vote: 312-226. It wasn't close at all. The lengths you guys will go to try to minimize Trump's victory any way you can is so petty. You guys claim Trump is petty and childish, yet you all embody that worse than he does.

I never said Trump didn't win the popular vote though, I'm just pointing out that he won a plurality of the popular vote and not a majority which implies more than half.

The hell you didn’t. I said he won the popular vote and you claimed he did not. You were either lying or flat out wrong. Now you say that majority means more than 59% and that is incorrect. Majority mean the highest percentage or number. Look it up.

No, you said people overwhelmingly voted for Trump and that's what I was correcting.

Majority means more than half, plurality is the largest number that's less than half

Well, I found two dictionaries that have different definitions for majority. One says the greater number and the other says the number greater than 50% which to me, is wrong because you can have a majority with less than 50%

If it's less than 50% it's a plurality.

Either way less than half the popular vote is not an overwhelming victory.

I am somewhat torn on the new immigration policies now that they are being enacted. Many of the migrants are hardworking and just want a better life, but too many are also repeat offenders breaking laws. Focus on deporting those assholes that keep stealing, drunk driving, and committing other crimes-some quite serious like lighting a sleeping woman on fire. I read a few months back that over 50% of the arrests in Times Square are illegal immigrants-let’s start there, though nyc police aren’t likely to assist ice because it is a so called sanctuary city.

Then you have the assholes blocking traffic, which really annoys the fuck out of me to see that. I don’t think I would handle someone infringing upon my rights to travel freely per my ninth amendment constitutional rights. How do you expect to win people to your side if you’re doing dickhead stunts like this?

And all these clowns are waving Mexican flags. If you’re so loyal to Mexico that you want to fly the flag, why not stay there or move there if you’re so proud? If you really love being in America, fly an American flag.
