Protected finishers

A) sharpshooter/figure 4. Still got guys and gals tapping to these on the regular, I know it's not the touch of death it used to be but it still is very respected and honored both of these submissions

B) Roman's guillotine

C) I'm gonna say one less remembered mid-midlate 90s face turn Lex Luger and the torture rack.

you are correct about the torture rack. That move was getting huge pops. Especially during his run where he racked the giant and beat hogan for the belt. Added bonus. It was a great move to put on your brother

Lol I dropped my buddy on his head out of the torture rack and he wouldn't talk to me the rest of the day

He ran through everyone. His whole gimmick during that whole time period became signalling the torture rack.

If he signaled, he won, so if he signalled, and the match went to DQ, technically Lex still won because he signalled and only outside variables stopped the inevitable. It was super over.

It was a cool looking move for a kid to see a man lift another grown man up and make him submit overhead, especially when he hoisted up big guys up, it was a cool aesthetic. But kids everywhere musta been dropping friends left and right, I think I injured my lil bro too, Haha, it's an assisted move that shouldn't be reenacted but us amateurs never learn lol

Razor’s edge because Scott Hall would not use it if he was going to lose.

Shinya Hashimoto’s vertical drop brainbuster was protected. I don’t recall many people kicking out of it.

Kazucha Okada’s rainmaker is protected as was Stan Hansen’s lariat.

Anyone ever kick out of the Doomsday Device?

Didn't Steiner pin Animal after being hit by it the one time Animal tried to bridge pin instead of drop the guy?

Dunno.

I can only imagine the jobbers in the back praying the Road Warriors and Steiners cripple each other...

The Burning Hammer was crazy protected as a super finisher. Kenta Kobashi only used it 7 times over 5 years and half of those times was so he would be able to beat Misawa.

Then a bunch of indy dorks of the early 2000's started spamming a safer version of it and ruined it.

I use the Kenta version, ask @Dr Strange Rex
