Media Pros react to Fury vs Francis announcement

Do we live in a parallel universe where McG doesn't exist anymore?
Isn't he still under contract? He can't box except via UFC and with their permission. Is that not the case (in this universe)? Is he somehow not under contract with the UFC??

Cool cards dude!
So watch does NOT mean stream?

You going to a bar for this big man?

I am betting you illegally stream it.. You come off like a fan that does this for UFC events and complains on here about the cards quality..

Problem is people like you, who are clearly Incredibly immature..

Care only about sticking it to Dana. As if Dana cares what you think.. About anything.. Never been a Dana fan and my post history will prove that, but what I want is the best fights.. Because you know I am a fight fan..

Here is the better question?

Did the sports of MMA or boxing win here? Only if the goal was for 4 HW fighters to fight inferior competition.. But hey "Fuck Dana"
cool cope bro.

it doesn’t matter if I illegally stream this, buy the PPV or fly over and sit ringside. Fact remains this fight interests me a lot more people.

U Fight Cheap having inferior talent or watered down cards is their fault and to an extent mma overall not having a deep roster of big boys.

It’s still completely irrelevant to the topic at hand: which is Francis stood his ground got better than ufc ever offered him. Paved the way for more fighters and hopefully tilts UFCs inequitable revenue sharing a bit more towards the fighters which hopefully in the long term incentivizes more talent to enter the mma pipeline

This is a pretty stupid take. This can only lead to more fighters walking away from the UFC stranglehold on the sport. Once upon a time, there used to be wiggle room for UFC fans to fearmonger about that, but UFC has stopped caring about having the best fight the best a long time ago so we're not missing anything if the UFC shitshow declines in its ability to screw over fighters and fans.

I'm loving watching all the bitter UFC dipshits dutifully spreading negativity around the the threads.

And, yes, I will pay for it because I support MMA.

I answered now your turn. You have a profound rage for Ngannou's success and him sticking it to U Fight Cheap. So tell us how much Dana pays you to shill for him like that. Wait don't tell me you do something so pathetic for free ?? haha
You didn’t really answer me all you did was try to gaslight me into some immature back-and-forth. I want to see great fights. Can you explain to me how either sport benefits from this particular fight? If you are only here because you want to spread immaturity about the bald guy that runs the UFC I can’t help you buddy.

Props to Francis for sticking to his principles and banking a shit ton of money in the process.

Fuck Dana White!!! Can't wait to see his face get bright pink when they ask him about this and hear his triggered response. LOL

"I mean.. Good for him, you know? Listen, I've always wanted the best for Francis, OK? You all act like I hate the guy. I actually really like Francis. I'm happy for him"

UFC quality has been declining for a long time buddy. Nobody here is blind to that. But this isn’t exactly going to solve anything. Both sports lose

Amazing your entire take still comes down to one thing and one thing only.

“I don’t like Dana White”

Well, I don’t like him either. But he did offer Francis in the neighborhood of $8 million to fight Jones. He said no and good for him to get more money to box Francis. But like I said, both sports lose on this one. Bad..

Why do you think PFL is involved in this or will give Fury his 50 + milions. They might get a cut of Francis purse and that's it.

Why do you think they aren't or wouldn't?

I'm just some asshole speculating but francis' numbers are abysmal (from a boxing pov) and mma have to gain..

Pfl has made some expensive signings..

In my mind.. unless tyson fury absolutely loves francis he's got something to gain from this..

Don't get me wrong.. i'll easily trade my ufc hot dog brander for a better, more modern PFL brander and kick dana a couple of times as he begs for change but i'm just not seeing it..

No, both sports do not lose if fighters see they can escape the UFC stranglehold.
If the Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather $100 million payday didn’t make that happen. How is this going to do it? Did Dana White suddenly start freeing up his fighters to go freely box or offered much more money to fight in the octagon? In terms of one off paydays, yes, the UFC pay structure still forces some of these things to happen. But it’s not indicative of any sort of long-term trend. I don’t see it.

Isn't boxing organised by the boxers themselves ? Their own team. Like no organisation's.

I still dont get why a pro boxer is going to fight a guy who spams wild hooks and has never looked like an elite striker. Franks going to gas in the 3rd or 4th round and Fury is going to humiliate him most likely. Fury can beat Wilder but not Ngannou? Not a chance.

No you asked if I will buy it and I said yes I will. So I clearly answered you.

You are the one gaslighting right now.

This fight is huge and benefits MMA because UFC/WME/Dana who are controlling fucks who are being sued for being a monopoly, who had contracts with neverending time limit before the lawsuit started, who pays them a fraction of the revenue they make compared to other sports, who forbid fighters to have big fights in other combat sports, who prevent them from making money trough sponsorship because hey why wouldn't they control that too, who used bullying tactics and "he doesn't wanna fight" for years - see Joe Silva files and currently how sterling is treated -, well these people are getting that stucked to them by a fighter who came from nothing and has integrity.

Ngannou now is manager of a continental branch of an MMA organization, will make ton of money fighting boxing, asked for better healthcare for fighters and asked that his next opponent in MMA is guaranteed 2M dollars.

so yes it's great for MMA because it shows fighters that there is another way instead of getting 20k/20k for years and being shit on by your "boss" (yeah because they're not supposed to be employees, they're independent contractors but without the perks of either status)

Great for Francis. I was growing skeptical about his departure from the UFC, but he will probably make more money in this fight than 4 ufc fights put together. Good move.
