so this fight is confirmed?:eek: I thought Fury was fooling him. Good for Ngannou, he will lose but earn a lot of money. I don't like this trend, though. MMA champions being KTFO by boxers makes MMA look bad...

No PFL is not paying for boxing, but they are supposedly going to pay him big money for fighting in PFL. After Francis looses in the ring how do you sell a fight in MMA that he is this big bad HW when he probably couldnt even hit a boxer and is totally outclassed. PFL is going to lose money.
 
You know, I use to think that MMA fans were the ones losing by not getting to see the Jones/Ngannou fight. Honestly though, deep down I know Jones was going to beat Ngannou. Maybe the universe saved me a bunch of money because now I don't have to pay to see that fight and I am definitely not paying to watch an exhibition with no knockdown rules. That's not fighting, that's sparring.
 
This is all Danas master plan to start rebuilding boxing for when he walks from ufc

Don't know why they can't just be happy for the guy. It's not like he harmed the UFC in anyway. It's a win-win situation.

Yeah like congrats to the guy. Hope his figures he’s making are guaranteed and not hinging on buys. This as an exhibition with those clauses just is super meh and makes it hard to be excited for it

The same way Conor was sold after being embarrassed by Floyd and only hitting once really hard.

Everyone knows MMA is a different animal, especially the boxers in these scenarios, which is why they don't ever want to fight in the cage.

The ufc was the boxing promoter. They take from the top and pay the fighter. Mcgregors purse of $25m was his and so was his ppv cut. The ufc pays mcgregor from the fight revenue. They were the risk taker and promoter. They obviously got paid but it’s not like he pays them from his reported purse.

The ufc got paid a lot. Like you said.

they didn’t take a share of his purse though. If that’s how you think they got paid I’d say you’re mistaken.
