Props To Amanda, I'll Eat Crow

Who cares.

Totally agree @Kyojiro Kagenuma
I’m happy to eat crow too. I picked Peña because of the issues Nunes showed in the first fight and the fact that more often that not, immediate rematches go the same way as the first fight.
But Nunes seems like she really fixed all of those issues we saw the first time out. All respect to her, she’s had a GOAT-level career and that was a great performance.

Im glad I don't have to eat crow this week, as I ate mine last week with the Monkey King losing lol.

That rematch thing reaks of mmath on several levels. I saw this as more of a GSP/Serra thing, than a passing of the torch. It should be obvious to everyone whom is the better fighter. Like GSP/Penn.. there is no need for a trilogy here.

Nor with Shevchenko. But I want Amanda to shut her and her fanbase up once and for all.

There can be only one.

Amanda's power was on full display tonight. Amanda caught Julianna with one punch that literally knocked her off her feet. I thought Julianna's team would advise her to take the fight to the ground where I felt she was more competitive but nope, she stood toe to toe with Amanda and took a savage beat down. When it went to the floor, Amanda did a great job dropping elbows and tearing Julliana Peña to pieces. I have never seen a fighter with so much heart, Julianna has my respect forever.

A lot of people have been criticizing Amanda for taking it to the ground. But she obviously thought the risk was worth the reward and she was right. Those elbows were brutal. Out of all the sub attempts, only one was close, the rest ended with Pena eating some nasty shots while laying on her back. Great performance by Nunes. And tremendous heart from Pena.

She broke the trend. She won an immediate rematch. I woulda lost money last night. She looked as savage as ever in there.

Lioness is back, boys and girls.

But did she sell well, PPV numbers?
if not, she will never be allowed to main event again.

Nunes the first fight literally went for broke to try and KO Pena and disrespected Pena's striking to try and get a quick finish. If you saw the first round, Nunes completely dominated.

Very simple. She did not train hard and was mostly just enjoying her new family when she lost last time. Plus she figured Pena was a easy win.
At this level, even Nunes must train hard to hold onto her belt.

I apologized last night for thinking she was washed. She not only won but added new tools to her toolbox. Not really looking forward to a third fight with Val tbh. Santos was ragdolling her, and Nunes is a bigger, better grappler with KO power.

Thanks for finally letting us all know how you handled this outcome. Next time, I ask respectfully, please tell the forum sooner right after the event so we don't sit up all night wondering how you'd address this rare miscall so we can move on with our lives.

K I will thanks!

I'll join the crew. I was bragging I picked Pena in the first fight and she won. That was kind of a fluke. Amanda's takedowns are so good. Shes such a strong woman. Amanda also has some of the best GNP. Her elbows are nasty

Credit to Pena for having the heart of a champion she just doesn't have the skill to go along with it.

She is so tough she had a massive chunk of her forehead missing and she still fought hard

A savage that panic wrestles against someone who strikes like an epileptic short bus rider?

Pffft.

She didn't panic wrestle.

She mixed it up, changed levels and took Pena down a few times. It was Pena that couldn't get back up. In fact I think the first TD was initiated by Pena and Nunes reversed her.

I expected Nunes to gas and she came with an absolute full tank last night.....
