So, how is UFC different from NBA/NHL/MLB/NCAA/WBO/WBO/etc...?The way they run their business is pretty similar to the mafia mindset; they buy out all their oppositions and bully their fighters to do things they don't like because they have no where else to go (maybe recently that slowly changes). Anyone who speaks against is on their shitlist, and get fired at the first chance. They ban any reporters who don't ask the right questions at pressers. I guess the UFC and Pride are pretty similar in some ways.
The mafia is cool and likeable Jones isntWell, considering the heinous crimes mafia organizations commit, I would not want to hear shit else about Jones, unless these criminals would be always mentioned in the same breath. Or, do they get a pass?
Your description of what is and isn't 'mafia' needs some work. Some of Zuffa's business tactics might be unethical, but they're not illegal.
Props for the Mastodon av though, great album.
Sounds like they follow a Fortune 500 modelhttp://www.global-mma.com/t8544-proof-fertitta-family-is-100-yr-old-mafia-family-not-just-ties
You can read the entire thing at the link above.
The reason why I'm posting this is because I still see people saying that the mafia thing is a myth. And most of us here have had an inkling that they're at least tied to the mafia but never had any proof of it.

In before the schills deny it.
