Proof That Conor Doesn't Get Pushed Enough in Sparring

This is the same exact shiet that happened in the khabib fight round 1

Instead of continuing the take down Dillon Danis just goes into guard and gives conor the position

then here as soon as conor gets back to his feet dillon moves backwards instead of immediately pressuring which is what any fighter would do in that scenario

He needs somebody who will really mimic Khabib's fighting style and mentality

Its ultimately conors fault. Being a fighter involves making right choices.

Yes men in your camp will be the end of you at the elite level. Say what you will about AKA and injuries but those mother fuckers push you until you are champ material

That is some really weak sparring in the video. I hope he’s doing a little more than that, when he was defending takedowns it looked like Jr high wrestling practice

I do think that Conor's training situation sucks but I don't think that changing camps would actually lift him on a level with fighters such as Tony, Khabib, Woodley, etc. They're just at a higher level imo.

Just imagine Conor went and worked with Mark Henry

Training with guys like Eddie, Barboza and Edgar all day

This has always been my thought process on Conor but lately, part of me thinks that being surrounded by yes-men is the only way he can do it. Training with killers day in and day out is fucking brutal. You get injured more, you get demoralized more and you will never be the center of attention. That's too much for a lot of guys to handle.

I'm wondering if someone like Conor would even get through a camp, in that sort of room. His biggest strength is that he always shows up confident and completely ready to fight to his strengths. I don't know if that would be the case any more, after going through the kind of camps that most elite fighters do.

bro before i smack u across your head get one thing straight

Kavanagh said they expected nate to stand the entire time

you can't really judge a gameplan based off how somebody defends a take down

just accept that Dillon doesnt push conor enough

Ironic Conor fans are the most tolerable ones.

"Conor lost because Dilon wasn't pushing him hard enough more than 2 years ago leading up to the Eddie Alvarez fight."

You are being ironic right?

I don't think Danis not pushing him 100% in these vids (where they're made out to make Conor look great) is really a factor.

It's tough, if Khabib hadn't landed that overhand, he wouldn't have taken that GnP, he wouldn't have been as tired and would have maybe lasted to the bell. But, Khabib was good, real good. The guy was the better fighter, the sport means more to him and (even as a Conor fan) if they rematch, I imagine the result will be the same.

As Chael says, the result may not change, but we should expect to see a different fight.

It’s lame to have Danis as the primary grappling coach, the dude isn’t a wrestler with submission but simply a jiu jitsu guy who is used to falling back into guard instead of “Reshooting” or “Chain Wrestling.”

What Danis does is replicate what happens in grappling competitions not MMA fights.

Pull Danis out, bring in wrestler with ground and pound who weighs the same as Conor so his joints aren’t compromised then use Danis only for submission defense during positional sparing, namely back takes and perhaps reverse de la Riva or any heel hook opportunity position.

Danis is the wrong guy for MMA sparring, Conor isn’t prepping for Metamoris.

He hangs with yes men. If Danis think he's even close to being on Khabib's level he is in denial.

I'm not going to talk shit about team chemistry, but the end of that first video didn't look good on camera. I'm glad they get along well.

Most guys go easy on Mcg because he will beat them in sparring if he feels they are a threat, that's why he performed like that against khabib. also it didn't help that his main grappling partner is the biggest nuthugger and is deluded in Mcg's aura like Danis.

After seeing the jre interview with kavanaugh and the scam artist nutrition guy im surprised he came this far
