Junior welterweight contender Regis Prograis (22-0, 19 KOs), the No. 1 seed in the 140-pound World Boxing Super Series that begins this fall, and former lightweight world titlist Terry Flanagan (33-1, 13 KOs), 29, of England, are likely to square off in their quarterfinal match on Oct. 27 at Lakefront Arena in New Orleans, Prograis’ hometown, multiple sources with knowledge of the discussions told ESPN. It would be the second fight in a row for Prograis, a 29-year-old southpaw, at the arena, which is where he knocked out Juan Jose Velasco in the eighth round his final fight before the tournament on July 14. All three of the WBSS tournaments that kick off this fall with stream live in the United States on DAZN and part of the deal between tournament organizers and DAZN is that at least four events must take place in the U.S., according to sources.

Fun! I'll watch it. I think the style match up will be interesting.

I think I’m getting that first dazn free trial month and see how it goes

Sweet! Should be a fun fight.

Would like to see Prograis work on his defense some more. Flanagan doen't have much in the way of power so it shouldn't be an issue here but the sooner that change is made the better.

The Indongo fight is a tough fight to draw any conclusions from, but yeah, the guy's head is straight up all the time. There were other flawed pressure fighters in the past, but they tended to have some kind of exceptional attribute (or two) to make up for their flaws. Not sure if Prograis is the man, but then again, Flanagan is a mediocrity without a punch, so we're not going to see it soon.

I have seen Prograis fight twice (his last 2), and he looks so rudimentary to me. I thought he looked awful, outside of his power.

He's not THAT bad defensively as he is seemly decided every fight that once he thinks his opponent can't hurt him he's gonna walk them down. But, that is a really dumb idea at the top level to just assume you can take your opponent's fire and just walk through it at any point of the fight. But, these guys don't always choose wisely what to do in the ring, and Prograis might learn the hard way if him and Taylor hook up.

Finally signed up since I got nothing else to do this evening. Ivan Baranchyk lives and trains in Miami and is being interviewed right now. He is partially using a translator, but he is trying his best to speak as much as he can in English, and is doing a good job. He has a fun style and personality. I hope he wins, and becomes more popular.

You dorks aren't watching the final HBO boxing broadcast?

Baranchyk is dirty as hell. His style is so awkward, which leads to fouls.

That eye looks disgusting. Good, but dirty win for Baranchyk. I think he is going to steam roll Prograis.
