For example Revenant and Deadpool were both great movies. Pretty entertaining. But I don't want to watch them second time. Just something is missing with them. I watch lots of movies every year. Shining, braveheart, last of the Mohicans, Shawshank redemption and so many to list. Not with the latest movies. Who's feeling the same?

You didn't tell us the problem.

Getting older, nostalgia goggles, being so inundated with entertainment due to the internet and streaming that most has little to no value.

There have been a few movies in the last couple years that I've watched more than once... Creed, Edge of Tomorrow.

The proportion that I want to watch 2+ times may have diminished over the years, though.

Action movies in general have really gone to shit in general. I'd way rather watch Predator for the 100th time than rewatch almost any recent action movie.

I saw both of those movies twice in theatres, your argument is invalid.

I find a lot of movies lately sort of unmemorable, and I don't think it's just my terrible memory.
Overall, I'd say the biggest problem in general is tone: many films are just tonally all over the map.

Maybe too much CGI is killing it. All the movies looking like a cartoon lately.

I don't think I've rewatched a single comic book movie from the last 15 years. I sure haven't rewatched a Transformers movie or shit like Battleship.

I see what you're saying.

Out of all the recent films I've seen, a few I've considered watching again but I didn't. Part of it could because I would have to pay again to watch it in theaters.

When I saw La Haine though the other day, the next day I wanted to watch it again. That film came out 20 years ago.

except that he said that he did not watch them twice, not that you didn't
your understanding of the thread is invalid
I get that. I was just being a smartass because he said those movies weren't memorable enough to watch twice. They were memorable enough for me to see twice.

Sooo, the problem with movies is that there are movies out there you admit are good but don't feel like watching a second time. Uhm, okay...

Between the theater and blu ray, I've seen SW7 four times and H8 twice.

Movies today lack depth in storytelling and acting, which the older movies have.
There haven't been any movies to remember in last few(and especially last 3) years at all.
They're aiming at a different type of audience now,so actual quality isn't what they're aiming at doing.

A lack of an original story, covered over by rediculous stunts, motages or CGI.

There are a ton of great movies being made.

The Grand Budapest Motel

Mad Max: Fury Road
