I rewatched this sequence of the fight and these images are misleading and do not accurately represent what was occurring in the fight.
Cachoiera in this fight sequence was framing Kim for an elbow and having trouble gripping because Kims face was bloodied; hence the slippery fingers. Cachoieras fingers though never actually went fully into Kims mouth and Keith Peterson was standing next to Kim and saw everything that was occurring; this was not an instance of fish-hooking.
People need to understand fish-hooking is not something you just do, it requires precision and intentionality, both of which Cachoiera did not have in a hectic exchange in the closing minute of the fight; the exchange was far too hectic for intentional fish-hooking and did not occur regardless.
Cachoiera though is definitely extremely careless in how she extends her fingers. She may do this intentionally, as many fighters unfortunately do, and while it is wrong and dirty she is just one of many and this is not a special case; no reason to single her out.
A Fishhook is used to control the positioning of the head. And it was definitely intentional and it certainly helped her land the elbow.
You wrote a novel basically excusing her behaviour.
And its BS she is a dirty fighter and deserves all tue backlash coming her way.
