That MF'er needs a date or something. That is way too much time spent playing Tarzan in the woods.

Yea, humans were probably burning holes in things long before we figured out how to cut or drill that effectively. Seems to make sense. Did homeboy really need a water powered mortar and pestle? I bet he's a weird one to talk to but if the Zombie Apocalypse happens he's going to be made of win. He probably ends up being this guy.

I've been watching that guy for a while now. He's the most resourceful man on YouTube. He'll make a massive smelting pit just to make one spoon. Then in the next 20 videos he'll find a 1000 different ways to use that pit.

A-level scavenger becomes ufc hw champ after watching ufc top 100 knockouts dvd

He's crazy. I like this video's title reference to "fresh water prawn", we just called them crawdad's.

That's amazing. He spent hours of time and tons of energy to make a...... Oversized automatic nut cracker?

In all seriousness, he's pretty legit. Never says anything, he just goes shows off his stuff.

The only problem I see with this stuff is that it's the most hipster, privileged, white person thing I've ever heard of pretending to be poor. People really live like this right now. It's kind of insulting that we live like them for entertainment.

Had this qurstion in my head a while back. Could or Should they bring a primitive tribe living like that into modern society. What good could of it. The people might get sick cause of being around new dieases that arent in their area.

That's cool and all but there's no more cave ladies to share your sweet hut with.

I think letting them know that we exist would at least be the reasonable thing to do. Learn their language and inform them what we can bring to the table.

I think of it like this.. would you want to have a superior alien race introduce itself to our society and teach us their ways of life and introduce their technology to us? I would want that. Why wouldn't they?

I get the issue with disease, but that's mostly treatable now. Back in the day when people explored it was a real issue, but they didn't really understand what was happening like we do now.

I keep thinking of the line from Day the Earth Stood Still.

Regina Jackson: History has lessons to teach us about first encounters between civilizations. As a rule the less advanced civilization is either exterminated or enslaved. I'm thinking of Pizarro and the Incans, Columbus and the Native Americans, and the list goes on. Unfortunately in this case, the less advanced civilization is us.

Must have taken him a long time to carve, and burn all that hollowed out logs. That is why humanity became highly specialized, and organized into teams. It just makes things so much easier, eventhough much less gratifying.

How does he know which plants have strong and flexible enough stems to use for this basket?

I took a wilderness survival course in SoCal Chapparal region, and I learned to make a square opening basket with twigs, long thin leaves, or stems. I think we just used any kind of stick for twigs, and leaves or stems was Yucca, or catnip or something. But it is literally only good for SoCal. The plants I have to use anywhere will be different, but I have no idea what they will be.
