If these two legends fought each other in their respective primes, who takes it?

My money is on Randy. He might have the highest fight IQ ever. Every fight he lost was due to some physical reason, but he was never outsmarted in the cage.

Plus I think he was a better wrestler and had better cardio.

There was only one Team Quest leader: Matt Smelly Lindland.

J/K, Hendo was a BEAST, but I'd go with Handy.

Crazy thing about Matt Lindland....he really had no business stepping up against some of the people he fought. Got fucked up immediately by Robbie Lawler. Fucked up immediately by Vitor Belfort. Fucked up almost immediately by Fedor....

Like watching someone outside the gas station get his ass whooped repeatedly.

And he looked and smelled like he just stepped out of their service shop.

Lindland was a lot tougher than people give him credit for. His style just wasn't very fun. And you didn't watch the Fedor fight don't lie. Lol you're way off and Fedor did have some help. Go watch bud

Couture was definitely outsmarted vs Ricco and Josh Barnett. he made the same mistake twice. trying to control and outwrestle 2 guys who are significantly larger than you and are veteran grapplers.

he could've won those fights had he avoided grappling and just tried to strike both guys.

That rope grab never happened (regardless of clear video evidence) and Matt Lindland doesnt shower, so yeah...

Tough, but he he got beat up. In fact...(has nothing to do with Matt himself), I just remembered when he fought Niko Price and ko'ed himself on a takedown, Niko was jumping around like Johua Van after the Pantoja fight. He won in the rematch, but I remember watching that thinking "tf is he celebrating about?"

That's a tough one. I think if it stayed standing Hendo should win.
I think he had a better striking game then Randy, grappling would be equal, but their styles were different.
Would of been sweet to see.

It all comes down to if Randy's strategy against Chuck in the first fight would work the same on Henderson. It might, I dont know. I tend to think it would be more like their second fight, Henderson would likely clip Couture coming in at some point and that would be the end.

60/40 in favor of Hendo imo

He was able to beat Gonzaga that way though. Alot of clinchwork/dirty boxing

Beautiful stuff.

Arona did beat Henderson by dec, if you remember. That was actually quite an underrated match people dont talk about anymore. So Hendo could be beat by a primarily grappling oriented guy. Very hard to finish by ko or submission.
