Fair statement. Nonetheless, his size is what it is, and Randy has held his own against plenty of wrestlers who were physically larger than him. I don't think it's absurd to presume he could mix it up with Coleman.

However, I'm no student of wrestling and beyond MMA I know little of it. I know Randy has a few Pan American gold medals. Was Brock not an NCAA champion at one point?
 
I think Randy's more diversified game and better conditioning would probably win him the fight especially if it was 5 rounds.

Not to count Coleman out though, when he was in his prime and healthy he was a beast.
 
In Pride rules in a ring I think Coleman takes it, in UFC rules in a cage I'd go with Couture.

Couture...easily. Would probably play out exactly like their actual fight tbh. Old man Randt pretty much nullified Brock's wrestling and size. He'd handle Coleman with ease.

Coleman losing to the glorious Pride triumverant has led to him being massively overrated on these boards---in an effort to overstate their accomplishments.

He dropped 3 straight to end his first UFC run too you know...including getting nearly decapitated by Pete Williams.

HWs with better resumes: JDS, Stipe, Reem, Cain, Werdum.

HWs who would've beat him in his "prime" : the 5 mentioned above + Brock, DC, and Carwin.

50/50 with Frank Mir.

Conor has no chance
He'd get smashed by top level amatuers
He looked awful yesterday and will also look awful when he fights one of the best boxers out there

I don't fall into shitty hype videos or listen to the kiss ass media

Nothing wrong though with conor losing though

I wasn't around during the prime Coleman era but if we have USADA then i give Couture the edge. HammerHouse just seemed so brainless and Randy has always been one of those guys who gameplan. Now don't get me wrong, i do believe Couture juiced but not to the gills like Coleman which is why i said Couture under USADA but i could be wrong. Team Roids aka Team Quest have always been some of the most notorious cheaters / juicers. Hammer House just looks worse because they bodybuild but that doesn't necessarily mean they roid more. Team Quest may simply not body build but it doesn't mean they aren't roiding as bad. They're just more focused on fighting. Hard to tell honestly. Roids or no roids but i give the edge to the Godfather of TRT Couture.

Randy was a LHW champion, and was a multiple time HW champion, winning his last title at HW at age 44, which he then defended at age 45 against prime Gabe Gonzaga. Gabe broke Randy's arm and Randy still successfully defended his belt.

Bottom line, The Natural would have beaten Coleman.
 
I think randy could survive the 1st round and get the W. Would benefit randy if it was a 5 round fight imo.
 
Couture was never the best HW in the world, Coleman was on 2 different runs, 1996-97 and 2000-2001.

Randy got absolutely mauled by Ricco Rodriguez and Josh Barnett....hence him dropping to 205...as long as it's at Heavyweight and not at that bullshit 205 where Mark didn't belong..... I like Coleman's chances...Prime Coleman beat fucking Don Frye 2x for Christ sakes....Randy is not a bigger threat than Frye...Coleman by routine GnP
