Prime Koscheck runs through today's division

Koscheck striking and KO power was only really an issue against non top 10 fighters. Look at all of his top 10 wins and you will see he wrestle-fucked all of them except finishing Rumble. Kos was a great fighter but his ability to KO other top welterweights is way overstated. He didn't have bad striking but his striking is not what made him a top 10 fighter.

I agree. UFC WW is weak right now. Usman isn’t that great it’s just a horrible division. People really think Gilbert Burns is a top WW? Like what happened to the UFC? Credit to Usman he’s won his fights but the state of the division is horrible. UFC is feeding ppl bullshit and they’re eating it up.

I agree. If Usman was defending his belt against the likes of Matt Serra or Dan Hardy I'd give him much more credit.

I could actually see Hardy or Serra ko'ing Usman, even Burns hurt him who's not a good striker. But he most likely beats Hardy but Serra could also sub him

Reminder of what GSP looks like on the ground against a fresh elite level grappler.

Not particularly relevant to an MMA fight as GSP would have been punching him in the face and kicking him in the legs. I don't recall Santos ever wearing a UFC belt...or winning a boxing or kickboxing title or Olympic medal in wrestling...It's called mixed-martial-arts for a reason...

Sums um Woodley. Only had a right hand. Remember when this guy was supposed to be better than GSP?
Only a right hand? What did GSP have in the second half of his career besides great timing with a double leg and a jab? Or are we just going to conveniently ignore how visibly terrified he looked of committing to any punches because he didn't want to get countered and knocked out after Serra did what he did to him? Because I recall him looking like a fish out of water when he wasn't able to take Hendricks down. I'm just saying...if you're going to talk shit then let's really talk then.

Kind of funny how only GSP fans rate Koscheck
Will be the same 5 years from now for someone like Colby.. What's his legacy going to be? Not as a champ in all likelihood.. Mostly as a mouth and side show act..

Kos was very credible in his day. Is he an all time great? Certainly not..

Not everybody becomes a champion. That doesn't mean they can't have a good career and legacy. I remember everybody counting Bisping out and saying he'll never be champ. Look what happened. Colby is a Top 5 WW in the world.

GSP was literally world class everywhere. Striking, wrestling, chin, cardio, top control. Woodley only won fights because of his right hand

All I know is that the striking I saw from Usman Colby and Gilbert in their recent fights is horrible. Zero defense whatsoever and very predictable attacks.

GSP had pretty shitty strike defense too tbh.

No head movement at all.
