GSP would have Gynosanya gassed from getting taken down and trying to get up by end of second round . Gyno has been taken taken down in his last couple fights GSP would do the same and make it look even easier.

Game planning wise GSP would have a great strategy. Once he is on the ground Gyno would be a fish out of water. I could easily see GSP getting full mount and landing gnp.

The issue right now is there are no elite grapplers at Middleweight so we are seeing Adesanya winning boring stand up fights where he does the bare minimum to get the win.

Rob should have landed more strikes when he had Adesanya on the ground or against the cage. Even when Adesanya was getting up from the ground he could have edged he win.

GSP had a way of winning rounds and usually he got the takedown towards end iof every Round to make sure he won the round.

I would agree with the title of this thread, if it read “GSP could take”. You could make a case for either guy winning the fight. Its a mistake to count prime Georges out of any fight, but it’s also a mistake to discount Izzy’s length and striking. Not to mention his ability to handle much larger opponents.

It would be a really close fight. But Izzy is really tall and his punches and takedown defence would give GSP trouble

GSP beat Bisping and Bisping is just as good if not better than Jan Blachowicz.

Bisping was not in his prime. Also Israel has not even reached his prime yet. Hes still improving.
