I give the edge to Mendes. Great chin, cardio, elite wrestling, probably the best blast double in the game. His striking was also looking very good, specially when he was with Ludwig. The fact that Jose Aldo beat him 2X shows how great Aldo is

Max TDD is ridiculous, he's distance management allows him to always be out of reach and he'd work his body.

I don’t normally put any faith in MMA math, but there’s something to be said for how each of them faired against Aldo. He’s still the measuring stick in that division.

Hard to say, I think prime Chad may well take that fight, but who knows what he'll be like off the juice and being out of the game for a couple of years.

Holloway is one of my favourite fighters, but Chad might have the best takedowns in mma and we all seen how easily Conor took him to the ground and controlled him.

But with that said, if they were to fight now at this point I'd pick Max.

I see chad landing some big shots when he’s fresh but Chad would have to work way too hard to keep up with max and would catch up to him by the end of the second round. I got max by decision but would probably be a fun one to watch. If chad had a more consistent top game I might favor him.

Prime Mendes was a beast. Who knows what he can do now after such a long layoff and a losing streak. I always thought he would be a tough match and true test for Max before he was champ.
