Seen almost all their fights and I think Rich Franklin would beat Shamrock. He is the more evolved, bigger fighter. All respect to Shamrock though, a true pioneer and the blueprint for a modern day fighter.

who cares??? those are sthe stupidiest Threads. we wont ever find out, so whats the point?

Ace rips Frank's heart out

Though I can't deny Frank did one of my all-time favorite KO's.

I guess I'd give it to Franklin off the top of my head, but I'd have to watch/analyze some of their fights to give a confident answer.

Frank a bit more technical than his bro but Rich uses his reach and keeps Frank at the end of his punches as prime franklin chews him up in a lopsided 15 minute ud.

Much respect to Frank but Ace smashes it...a generational improvement

I gotta go with Frank by submission in this matchup.

Cool fantasy matchup, never heard this one before

I can't pick between the two; too many variables at play here (Franklin's timing, punching power, southpaw stance; Shamrock's supreme conditioning, speed, and versatility). That would've been interesting to see.

This is a legends fight bro; it's gotta be five rounds. <30>

Franklin could possibly use his size to eek out a decision, but Shamrock's better athleticism gives him the edge on having crisper technique. My money would be on Shamrock.

These are all good answers. I think Rich could use his size and TDD to keep it on the feet where he would have a slight advantage to eek out a decision. I could also see Frank getting it down and going for a slick sub. One of the best fantasy matchups that I've seen proposed. Kudos, TS.

Do people really think Rich Franklin would have defeated Frank Shamrock?

LOL

Rich never actually defeated elite fighters. His best wins were over the hill fighters like Wanderlei and Chuck (whom he struggled with). He was considered great when guys like Tanner, Loiseau and Quarry were around but that's it. Frank would have destroyed him.
