I dont give much hope for present day, shot Dos Santos. But the Junior who faced Struve or even Carwin was just as scary or more than present day N'gannou.

Who wins?

Francis knocks him out cold.
Junior has never faced and beaten anyone like him.

You mean a guy who will be waiting for 1 opening to hit him once and knock him out cold? Carwin and Nelson spring to mind. And he nearly killed both of them

Who Francis has beaten except glass chin Overrem and glass chin Arlovsky? Santos had no glass chin and he could take down Francis if he wanted.

Prime Brock, Carwin, Cain, JDS can beat him.

If ngannou was born in murrica he would most likely be laying out corpses in the middle of the field as a linebacker.

current francis crushes any version of jds.

That is such a lazy argument. And it applies to Ngannou way more than to JDS.

JDS has faced many killers in his run. Ngannou faced two veterans known for many KO losses and a bunch of low profile guys.

JDS run to the title was probably the most impressive run in UFC HW history.

JDS has shown to be a smart and tactical fighter if necessary. He used quick in and out movement and a strong jab vs Carwin. The same strategy could have helped him vs a guy like Ngannou.

Don't know.

One of those veterans has KO'd JDS too(al though not in his prime).

JDS' run consisted of mainly grapplers and none had a style like Francis. Francis isn't a one trick pony like Carwin. He pressures and picks his shots and not to mention hits like train. If he connects it's over.

The fans would win. God what I would give to see Prime Dos Santos vs Ngannou. If they fought today, it would be the same as when Dos Santos fought Cro Cop. Cro Cop was just out of his prime enough not to make it the most exicting HW fight ever. The same if JDS fought Ngannou today.

Cro Cop/Dos Santos/Ngannou. What I would give to see every match up of all 3 of those guys in their primes.

Please MMA Gods let Rumble come back as a HW.

How is Ngannou more diverse than Carwin? He has better hands but Carwin was a strong wrestler. What would Ngannou do if he loses the stand up?

Overeem and Arlovski are good strikers. But they have been knocked out several times including in recent fights before Ngannou.

Ngannou has good hands but in many exchanges he seems to be just sitting down willing to take shots to deliver his own. It's effective if you are strong and powerul and when your opponents cannot take a good shot well.

Prime JDS was fast, dynamic, powerful and had amazing hands himself. He had quick feet and good combinations. And his chin was granite.

I am not saying he would have ran through Ngannou. But I would have favored him.

Unfortunately JDS is only a shadow of his former self.

I favor JDS. He had much faster hands than Ngannou.

He also had a great chin, we’re not sure about Ngannou’s chin yet.
