Cormier easily, and at just about any point in his career. I don’t see what Gane has for him, honestly. Gane doesn’t have the kind of one-punch KO power to be a big threat standing, and Cormier would take him down and sub him pretty easily I think.

Maybe yeah but if the fight was kept standing maybe Gane wins, and actually, people don't know that Gane has punching power fr, he cracked the chins of Lewis and Tuivasa, also there was a video of him testing his punching power on the punching machine, he has a punching power record of 964 and 974

And it would also take a lifetime of grappling training for Gane to be anywhere remotely close to an Olympic caliber wrestler like DC

Nah not a Gane hater at all, i like Gane and respect him a lot

But Daniel Cormier has wrestled in the Olympics. That takes a lifetime of training to get to that stage

Jon wasn't an Olympic Wrestler tho but he beat DC? oh well Jon was wrestling since 12 Y/O but, Gane was training a bit of wrestling too after the FN fight, he did train with Dagestani HW wrestlers tho, Idk how his wrestling still hasn't improved that much? maybe he is the type of fighter that likes to stand and bang probably.

Yeah I think some fighters who are really good strikers, just don't seem to excel at wrestling even if they train it.

E.g. Conor Mcgregor trains wrestling quite a lot in footages, and Izzy too but no matter how much they try their grappling doesn't match fighters like Islam, Khabib etc
