Two of the best all time HW's going at it here. Who wins this one?

DC is a terrible match up for Nog, most likely he clinches and holds Nog to a UD similar to Mir/Nelson.

I'm a Big Nog fanboy but I don't see how he beats DC. DC would do to him what prime Fedor did except maybe have slightly to moderately more trouble. But still win.
Same shit DC did to Barnett and probably worse.
Prime Big Nog has a better guard than Barnett so I think he gives DC a little more trouble on the ground but I agree for the most part.

I have fond memories of Big Nog too. I woke the neighbors when he armbarred Murko.

But I gotta keep it real, here.

With that said, Nog had a way of going through the Gates of Hell and coming out alive on the other side... so who knows?

Big Nog is the greater fighter

DC is the better fighter
DC wins a dominate dec

These prime vs prime threads are incredibly stupid. You cannot compare a pioneer that was creating the sport with a current fighter who already knew how to train, which strategies are better. Its just nonsense.

Translation - DC would win!

I don't think any version of Nog has much for DC as much as I like Nog, just a very bad style matchup for him.

I'm a fan of both but probably a bigger fan of Nog and yet I agree, style wise just not a good match up for Nog. I think Big Nog matches up better against the likes of Stipe or Volkov or Ngannou but not DC.

Glad to see that Pride fanboys can still be objective. One month ago I've seen some guys said that 2003 Wanderlei would beat DC lol. And it was on that board.

What do you mean? So you can't make a thread about who wins between Prime Fedor and Cormier?

you can say that, but it is stupid. they are from different periods.
it is like saying that ...... Diego Sanchez would have won UFC 1,2,3,4,5. To prove what?

Mir proved nog was overated. Let me remind u mir beat him 2x.mir was also washed up when they fought.

I would pick DC to win, but DC vs. Fedor would be the dream match up. 2 under sized HW's that excell at wrestling but also have good KO power.

Wand stood and banged with Hunto so im not seeing why its so silly unless DC humps Wand like Arona did...

DC isn't standing with Pride Hunto.
