I personally wouldn’t classify it as showboating, at least not in the way the other examples are. I think Silva’s behavior was tactical. He taunted and clowned in order to draw guys into leading so he could counter. In his first fight with Chris it became pretty obvious early on that Silva could not defend his takedowns, and that unlike Chael Chris could actually inflict damage from top position. Silva’s only path to victory lay in persuading Chris to stand with him. Bit of a double edged sword since it did get him caught, but tactically I think it was the smartest move Silva could make.TS doesn't say trash talking only, but also i.e. showboating, which Anderson definitely did during the fight. It fits perfectly in this thread.
