Brock obviously has nowhere near similar striking to Stipe. Hunt has to be anticipating the early shot whereas Stipe can at least hold his own on the feet making it way more difficult.

Here is first round play by play for Hunt vs Micoic. Easy win for Brocky. Only difference being the power in Lesnar GnP compared to Miocic, it will look like Lesnar/Mir all over again.

Midway through the round, Miocic floors Hunt with another single-leg takedown, landing in side control on the Kiwi’s left side. Miocic grinds on Hunt’s face and neck with short elbows and forearm shots. Hunt is unable to escape as the final minute ticks down and Miocic switches to hammer fists. Hunt looks dazed with 30 seconds left

The major difference is that Stipe is a golden glove champion boxer and as these videos clearly show, he did an excellent job of setting up his takedowns with strikes.

I agree that Brock could dominate this fight if he gets the early takedown, but he definitely doesn't have the boxing skills to disguise his shot. *though he might not need it, Setup or not I don't think Hunt can stop Brock's power double... I just hope Brock doesn't freeze up like a deer in headlights and forget to wrestle. If Brock commits to the TD I think he wins via TKO, probably in the first.

stipe didnt setup his first round takedowns with strikes either, he chose to stand and strike from 2nd round on when he realized how poorly conditioned Hunt was, there was zero risk standing from Hunts arm punches, he had zero respect for Hunt after round 1. Look at this, doesn't even put his hands up to bother blocking those sloppy arm punches and walks forward right at him.
