I agree it was partisan and an attempt to have your cake and eat it too, but that's still night and day from where we are today. Are you ignoring that Trump has a long history of overruling scientific or expert advice and saying whatever he wants?

I can think of at least an infamous chart where Trump blatantly ignored expert opinion...

You're making a very questionable argument here, assuming that Trump's word will align with expert opinions. I can think of several instances where it hasn't. Hence I care more about whether a politician supports listenign to the experts, or not.

The CDC and FDA stood behind it brotha. It was def political statements to not give Trump credit so not lose the election. Im not saying its not standard protocol now but it did have a large affect on the peeps listening.

They didn't approve the vaccines until well after election day if I recall. Did they make any statements before on their efficacy or safety?

Vaccines were released to the public in Dec 2020. Its not that long. The process played out.

Right, and the messaging from Democrats was "We won't listen to Trump, we'll listen to the CDC." Was there any talk of not trusting the CDC's recommendation for the vaccines from 2021 and on?

If the CDC part was correct then it wouldn't be 85% worried. Did Biden and Kamala say oh great if the CDC and the FDA approved we're all good? Of course not
 
I really wish we had a view into an alternate universe where Trump won the 2020 election, to see all the stances on the COVID vaccine from people.

I'd say around 80% of the opinions on the vaccine(and willingness to get it) was purely political, which is sad as all fuck.

Both sides were going after RFKjr today, outside of a few republican senators. The establishment is big mad.

It is actually amazing to see play out because the conservative inc losers, the WSJ and murdochs, Karl rove type, were all saying the past week or so that Trump questing the vaccine was him slowly turning in RFKjrs anti-vax stances, that growing people within the admin want him ousted, etc…. Which seemingly teed off the hearing today.

RFKjr was readily prepared and it all boiled downed to various senators yelling over him trying to answer.

Press sec and the official 47 rapid response were 150% in full support of RFKjr today. Really got to give credit to their press and comms teams.
