Plenty of Trump maga dont trust the vaccine so not sure who it's pandering to.
That's what happens when your political movement is more a cult with no principles besides raw power. It's a coalition strung together moment to moment, with no real through given to actual positions other than grievance politics.

Who said that?

The right didn't believe in vaccines from the beginning, it's one of the few things they push back on when it comes to Trump.

I don't really care either way about the data personally but I don't think this will change the minds of vaccine skeptics, if they cared about data they would not be vaccine skeptics.
Trump: "The Coronavirus, This is a flu. This is like a flu."

So you are skeptical of medicine in general? I get conspiracies etc but this is all reported to the FDA for approval. Obviously the results of any testing has to be repeatable not only for those companies but in research institutions across the world.
You remember when they changed the definition of vaccine? I do
They are all out to make money, safe or not

You're referring to the CDC right?

Does it really matter what their definition of a vaccine is?

Many organisations have different definitions and different wording of what a vaccine is. What makes the CDC one so special?

This is a good one:

"A substance or group of substances meant to cause the immune system to respond to a tumor or to microorganisms, such as bacteria or viruses. A vaccine can help the body recognize and destroy cancer cells or microorganisms."

That's from the National Cancer Institute. It even allows for the fact that they're meant to because nothing works absolutely perfectly and some preventative measures fail.

People flapping around about one single arbitrary definition of one particular outfit that isn't even international is kinda sad to see. The world didn't change.

Not denying but when Trump had operation warp speed the dems had a different take...

There was some criticism and partisanship, but nothing remotely close to how the GOP has tried to tap into anti-vaxxers.
85% of Democrats said they would not trust a vaccine rolled out. 54% said they would not take a vaccine even if it was free. Even Kamala and Biden said they would not trust it. Politics is just one of those things brother

How about release data on the Epstein Files?
Congress has that now as well as Garland's upcoming testimony. We will see what they do with that. My buddy thinks that Epstein was a government asset which is why everybody kicked it down the road. That one we will see

You're misinterpreting the survey.

The question was how worried are you that the Trump administration would pressure the FDA to rush the vaccine and cut corners. 85% of Democrats were worried, compared to 61% of independents and 35% of Republicans.

The 54% was for if they would get the vaccine before the election (survey was from Labor Day) if it was approved by the FDA and free. Keep in mind that 81% of Americans felt that the vaccine wouldn't be ready by then. In other words, the first answer is based on the feeling that a vaccine in November would be rushing, rightly or wrongly; the general public isn't very smart.

The standard messaging from most Democrats at that point was they'd take it if the FDA approved it. Like I said, sure some definite partisanship, but nothing remotely like the anti-vax messaging you've seen from Republicans.

“Let me be clear: I trust vaccines,” Mr. Biden said. “I trust scientists. But I don’t trust Donald Trump, and at this moment, the American people can’t either... “Scientific breakthroughs don’t care about calendars any more than the virus does,” he said. “They certainly don’t adhere to election cycles. And their timing and their approval and their distribution should never, ever be distorted by political considerations. It should be determined by science and safety alone.”

I reported that in a post above but I'm cooking now so didn't go into it. The media was all over it and I don't think if Trump was elected that it would have gone the same way. Just my opinion

I agree about seeing the data but the president did fast track this vaccine. Maybe it seemed right at the time but it was rushed at his behest.

Read or not, it ain't that big a deal. I'm just pointing out your confusing different questions and responses in the survey and missing the context.

I think I listen to the questions and answers right. But I can have a look again. Again the media was questioning the whole thing at the time and so were the people. I'm not for any of it obviously as I have a background in science.

I'd be less critical of Trump if he'd get off his shitty social network and just go get them to release the data.

Shut up and make the thing happen

I think he sees this as his legacy which is why hes doing this. Congress has epstein stuff and Garland to testify. That is what it is. It may not help him with the anti-vaccine conservative crew
- He already got a legacy as the biggest doofus to ever run a contrie. And he has people like Bolsonaro and Lula as concorrents.

He brings a lot of nonsense with his rhetoric which annoys me to no end. But the fact that some don't want to even acknowledge when he does good things makes me go to the other side
