I think ultimately the vaccines were the right thing to do, ultimately though nothing outright prevented repeat infection due to how quickly new strains kept popping up that we weren't protected against.

If anything it should prove the herd immunity crowd were the most wrong of anyone.

And who is to say we will see all the data? Maybe some companies pay the toll so the administration lets them slide on some shit. I trust NOTHING Trump touches, and anyone that does is a fucking fool.

The right didn't believe in vaccines from the beginning, it's one of the few things they push back on when it comes to Trump.

I don't really care either way about the data personally but I don't think this will change the minds of vaccine skeptics, if they cared about data they would not be vaccine skeptics.

Usually that stuff gets published in journals so I would think most of it is out there. But I don't know that. Obviously all of the preliminary work to develop the technology that was licensed by the pharmaceutical companies was surely published

Yes that's true, forgot about that.

It used to be that Democrats insisted on an onerous FDA approval process while Republicans advocated for a less restrictive like we saw with COVID.

I think the Republicans were right on that issue as evidenced by the success of the COVID vaccine but they've now turned away from that issue and it's Dems who embrace the breeding now.

My belief for most is that if Trump was elected they would likely have gotten the vaccine. Likely going to be unpopular with them but its my opinion.

We don't know how bad it could have been because of the drastic measures we put in place not just in the country but in all countries early on.

So you are skeptical of medicine in general? I get conspiracies etc but this is all reported to the FDA for approval. Obviously the results of any testing has to be repeatable not only for those companies but in research institutions across the world.
