President of Association of Boxing Commissioners: Conor's conduct jeopardized the health and safety

im talking bout the dude that was pushing him off the cage.

By that time he caused an injured fighter to be knocked over & was completely out of control
The official had every right to try to keep him out

He already showed signs of aggression.

If a guy comes into your backyard when he is not supposed to & knocks things over & causes havoc & then after being escorted out, he tries climbing over the fence again - I really doubt you would not try to block him

Come on man

Oh wait a minute

dude just cuz somone is not allowed to be there you dont injure them unless they are injuring someone else.

You agree with me (considering Conor was the reason an injured fighter was knocked over)

Not if you are a fan of the civilian that trespassed.
Then it is OK, because "he was just having fun"

I am amazed at how some don't see it

There are a handful of McGregor fans on these forums that are truely in love with mcGregor. They do not like him, or are fans of him, they are IN love with him. The way they defend him is like women with battered wife syndrome, where battered women will defend their husband/bf no matter what he does to them.

legally speaking,he shouldnt be held to any higher standard than an audience member....

that was his official capacity at the event.....

he isnt licensed in the jurisdiction where the incident took place.....hell, there is no legal legitimate sanctioning body there.....

He should be given no worse punishment than an audience member....

I forget how long a license remains valid.....if its a year, then the NSAC might suspend him for a bit....

Yeah that's about right. If an audience member did that it would either be up to the police or someone in involved in the incident to press charges against him. If people decline to do that, then, he's free to go.

Its humorous
He was excited bc he teammate KO'd someone
Then he was the cause of that KO'sd fighter getting knocked over

but Conor did not wrong by jumping the cage/fence & causing havoc?

complete garbage. he was excited and passionate about his team mate winning. you wanna fine him, thats cool, but to try and push him when he is on top off the cage is stupid. if he had not grabbed on the cage he woulda fell head first. i woulda slapped that official myself and it has nothing to do with anything other than pure simple human etiquette.

was conor in the wrong for touching the referee. yes. but the referee could have easily given conor a pass, but instead chose to trade words with conor. big john and herb dean would have navigated that situation like pros, but instead you get the super anal goddard who makes it everything about "the rules" . he never liked conor, and he was just itching to cause trouble.

how many times have you had someone of authority that could have been cool but chose to enforce some bs just cause they're just unhappy with life? mark goddard is 100% a shit stirrer, and conor is just not one to back down and that doesnt help his cause. but if you think anyone else but conor is the victim here, you are absolutely out of your mind.
Fuck him. He had no business on the cage. He's responsible for anything that might happen, including being tossed on his head.

In a statement Saturday, Mazzulli said that McGregor “jeopardized” the health and safety of the participants in the cage and “assaulted” both referee Marc Goddard and Johnson, the Bellator staffer.

Mazzulli wrote that he has been in contact with the UFC about McGregor’s behavior, as well as the ABC member commissions that license McGregor to fight.

The full statement is below:

While the Mohegan Tribe Department of Athletic Regulation (MTDAR) was regulating Bellator 187 in Dublin, Ireland, on November 10, 2017, the following events took place during the Ward vs Redmond bout.

Mr. Conor McGregor who was a spectator at the time, disrupted the event by scaling the cage prior to the conclusion of the bout. Mr. McGregor’s conduct jeopardized the health and safety of the bout participants by delaying necessary medical attention to the fighters that were injured during the round.

In addition, Mr. McGregor assaulted Referee Mark [sic] Goddard and a Bellator staff.

The MTDAR has been in consultation with the upper management of the UFC regarding Mr. McGregor’s inappropriate and unacceptable behavior.

The MTDAR has also contacted members of the Association of Boxing Commissioners that have licensed Mr. McGregor in their jurisdictions to inform them of Mr. McGregor’s behavior.

I agree, Conor almost killed everyone inside that cage.

Creepy thing was he had a smile on his face.

conor didnt injure anyone. this is whats wrong with america.sjws blowing things up for no reason.

Conor knocked over an injured fighter
He had no right to do that

None of this has to do with "america" or "sjw"

It had to do with someone who was not supposed to be in a cage fight setting, causing havoc
btw, you my friend brought up the "injury' talk with

dude just cuz somone is not allowed to be there you dont injure them unless they are injuring someone else.

Nobody said Conor injured him more.
People are saying commissions, etc. have every right to look into it
Add in he threw a slap/punch at an official & this is all on Conor

A KO'd fighter was knocked over because of Conor's activity in a cage he was not allowed to be in.

BOTTOM LINE MY MAN

There's no way I'm reading a McTardor thread, but I have to assume someone posted the obvious that he's looking for an excuse to not have to fight people that will kick the ever loving shit out of him. Get himself suspended and and he doesn't have to deal with the top 50 LWs who would all murder him.

conor didnt knock over anybody. someone else pushed an official who fell on/close to the fighter.

yes it actually does. its this internet culture or making a big issue out of nothing cuz you dont like that person.

i do agree with you conor should have not been there but the refs/officials handled it poorly. my friend.

He should be fined with a lot of money, that is the only way Conor can understand

Jumped a cage as a spectator, pushed a ref, punched an official, caused a huge scene, and inadvertently delayed the care of an injured fighter.

There needs to be some kind of punishment for this. This is not a slap on the wrist offense. Any other fighter would have been fed to the wolves at this point. You can't play favorites in situations like this.
any average fighter would be out of the UFC for 2 years by now. Hell, Nick Diaz got suspended for years just for smoking weed, imagine punching a reff in the face lol.

I personally have had enough of that moron. He turns MMA into Shark Tank, hasn't defended his title, and acts like an entitled ass.

The longer Conor keeps acting this way without defending or even fighting MMA again, the more our movement will grow...

i do agree with you conor should have not been there but the refs/officials handled it poorly. my friend.

then let the officials get fined as well
I don't think that is the case, but if they did something against the rules ...

Conor we both know did
That is what the thread is about

They are looking into what conor did

There's a code of conduct which exists which theoretically holds him to a higher standard.

Didn't Paul Daley basically get a lifetime UFC ban for attacking Koscheck after the fight? Not too much worse than what Conor pulled.

Also, Jason High was permabanned for bumping a ref.

code of conduct is some made up in house UFC crap.....

Im concerned when a gov official is making roundabout threats for events that took place while he was operating in a private capacity.....

it reeks of abuse of authority....and it seems like an excuse to give new power.....
