Not trolling, "The Bay" = San Fran, Berkeley, East Bay, North Okalnd, Tiburon (no one lives there), Treasure Island (no one lives there), Vallejo etc etc etc.

A lot of young rappers come out saying "I'm from the bay!" as a means of respect when guys like Too$hort and E-40 were selling tapes to drug dealers in the middle of the hood. G-Eazy def was riding the "Gritty Bay" stuff and then he was all of a sudden very open about living close to the hills. Very different.
