FA reveal new rule to retrospectively ban players for diving

The Football Association has confirmed that retrospective punishment for players who dive in games will be introduced next season.

A statement from the FA read: ‘A new offence of ‘Successful Deception of a Match Official’ will be in force from the start of the 2017-18 season, after the regulation change was approved by The FA Council today [18 May] and following a period of consultation with stakeholders over the past few months.

‘Where there is clear and overwhelming evidence to suggest a match official has been deceived by an act of simulation, and as a direct result, the offending player’s team has been awarded a penalty and/or an opposing player has been dismissed, The FA will be able to act retrospectively under its Fast Track system...

In all seriousness, do you ACTUALLY think that Arsenal FC winning the Emirates FA Cup is a BETTER ACCOMPLISHMENT than Bayern München winning the season title in Bundesliga?

What happens to the last minute pen scored from the retrospective dive?

Man the fuck up ref, look at a reply and sent the cunt off

Unless it's at Old Trafford,it's a stone waller no arguement.

This is the issue. Games are still going to be won by cheats. If they introduced video refs for pens, it would stop that and instant reds for blatant dives would curtail the amount of diving too... Double bubble benefit.

Tbh Bayern just buying Dortmund best stars to win the league is a joke.... I mean what other league in the world does 1st place buy 2nd place stars or sign them to continually win the league?

Leipzig had a good season but Bayern will probably buy a player from them and wrap the league up even earlier next season.

Look, I know that I lived in USA my entire life and I am fully aware that this is the PREMIER LEAGUE THREAD but what do you think about Instant Replay?

I love instant replay. I think that instant replay should be considered in all of Football soccer (both international football and club football).

Wait a second. You are (or were) a fan of Arsenal FC and yet you laugh about someone else being destroyed in UEFA Champions League?

I have to disagree with you.

I don't think that it was a million years ago that VfL Wolfsburg won the season title in Bundesliga.

I know that Leicester City recently won the season title in the Premier League but that almost never happens there either.

Next year, I would love to see Newcastle United, West Bromwich Albion, Watford FC, Liverpool FC, or Tottenham Hotspur win the season title in the Premier League.

I'm not being sarcastic. I really would love to see that happen for any of those clubs.

How long have you been watching football ?
<{zoinks}>

Bundesliga has two problems

1. Buyern is financially too far ahead
2. Teams like Schalke, Leverkusen, Gladbach , Wolfsburg and even Hamburg fuck up too often and don't live up to the potential

The league could have three big / decent sized players in Buyern, Dortmund and Leipzig. Then behind that a good mix with Schalke, Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Hamburg, Gladbach.

Oh and yes it would help if Buyern bought their top players from foreign teams.
