Tho i disagree with you on all that that the manager importance factor is about 10%, because a manager can make or break almost any player´s career. Even tho any manager, and every club, have in place, or, are supposed to have in place, a whole structure surrounding the team. And every player has their own personality (something which is harder and harder to find, in these Instagram, bullshit, net life we find ourselves in! )Honestly, outside of the truly elite managers like Klopp, Pep, Carlo etc I think the role of the manager is massively overblown, and even for those elite managers luck and circumstance is a big part of it. Like if Klopp wasn't able to finance Allison and van Dijk with the Coutinho robbery, would they have pushed on? Hell, Klopp even pushed for Julian Brandt and Julian Draxler over Salah at the time.
More and more it's apparent the single most important factor in success is recruitment, imo. The manager might add or take away about 10%.
I think we can all agree that ANY PLAYER should be professional, at the minimum. At the minimum.
And, btw, and this is completely off topic : The minimum wage here is 740€. And, every single Man, or Woman, pays, for rent, between 500-800€ for a T1.
Im just saying that, whilst i am talking to you, about football, i hold a beer on my left hand, and a gun on my right. Anyways, back to the topic at hand.
This is a discussion that, imo, could last for days... or more!
But i completely agree with you that the key factor is recruitment. And i would go even further, by adding, investment, proper investment in the youth squads.
