Yeah, Shaw is in the Phil Jones class at this point. Not as bad as recent opinion suggests.

Not a bad player, and at one point had a pretty high ceiling, but you can only tolerate mediocrity for so long.

Kind of guys who needed to be moved on after 4 years, which would have benefited both player and club.
You look at Chelsea, who cut ties with Morata, Lukaku, and Werner pretty quickly.

Meanwhile, United fans are celebrating a 5 league goals in 2 seasons Martial overcoming yet another injury in hopes he can help save the squad.

Yup.

United’s biggest weaknesses have obviously been bad recruitment and overpaying mediocrity, but close behind is the selling of players.

Outside of di Maria and Lukaku, we keep the bad fits for far too long or sell them far too cheap.

Apparently Garner is going for 14m. If he was a Forrest player we’d be offering 40m for him. Maybe not a top level player, but he’ll end up with 400 Prem appearances.

Pogbar aint no red. Sorry. He was a mule being guided through a swamp
It depends on what we’re defining as “red.” He was brought in for a near world record fee and didn’t come close to living up to that hype. He had some class performances that reflected his capabilities, but he also half assed it a lot and was even dropped at one point by three different managers. He missed at least 10 games due to injury in at least half his seasons.

It’s not to say he’s a bad player—being surrounded by a swamp is the reason most these guys failed.

Yeah, hard to know how to judge these guys.

Like rank your top 5 United players, post SAF. Such a low bar. Tough task.

Could do top 50 of the Prem era, and there’d be almost no crossover.

Yep. Pogba was no doubt one of the most talented players in the post-Fergie era. When he performed to his abilities, he was probably their best outfield player. He falls way short of being worthy of a £90M price tag, though—and value for money seemed to be the criteria here.

Value for money they are all red, then.

Yeah, £14M is a poor valuation for a guy United have yet to put on obscene wages. It’s odd that United are offloading him and keeping McTominay, who’s now hitting his prime years and showing he’s not good enough to play for United.

It’s going to be funny when United finally solve their CDM issues when they sign Garner for £65M in 2 seasons.

Ha.

If it’s Rabiot and no one else, we’re fucked.

Wilshire esque.
