I got a season ticket, which was £500 cheaper than Middlesbrough and am going to the first home game of the season on Tuesday (Liversedge). Today we lost our opening match of the season 1-0 away at Matlock Town :( , leaving us 16th in the table.

Let's go Whitby!

Disagree there. The timing is terrible and United is poorly managed no doubt, but they can still salvage a bid to get back into the Champions League.

HUGE “if,” but if they keep Ronaldo and land the players they’re currently linked with—FDJ, Rabiot, Gakpo, and Dest—they’ve had a decent window. Two new starters at CM and a CM squad option, a new winger, a new RB starter, a new CB, and competition at LB.

Still closer to 6th than 2nd, but a possible go at top 4 is reasonable.

Point is panic buying a few players in the last week of the window just shows again how incompetent the recruitment continues to be.

We've known for months that major reinforcements were needed, and yet here we are with 3 absolute meh signings.

Should be maybe adding the final piece at this point, not scrambling desperately to find anyone willing to come.

Say what you want about Rangnik as a coach, but he knew what was up when he said 10 players were needed and that likes of Maguire and Shaw were not good enough.

Im not gonna say that you are wrong, far from it.
But there are no bad crews, only bad leaders.
Its no secret, it starts in your owners and it trickles down to guys who lack alot but who are already rich.
United need to be sold to someone who actuallly knows wtf they are doing, and the "rest" will follow.
For sure the problem is at the top—but it trickled down to the players they recruited, purchased, and put on terrible contracts. They’ve assembled a squad full of mediocre-to-above average players.

.......and yet they are all playing below even that.

To a man, 2022 has been the worst year of every single players career (or close to it).

My point is that it’s not a case of immensely talented side that just doesn’t try hard enough. It’s mediocre talent who were thrown together round hole/square peg style and can’t function together under any particular style of play. They’ve been getting progressively worse under 3 managers over the past year. I completely agree with Ralf—they need a clear out.

I agree, for the most part. Bad policy can still lead to an overall net positive, though. Their approach has been abysmal, but a few signings that fit the manager’s system can still salvage the season—one that currently looks heading towards relegation as opposed to top 6.

He wanted Arnautovic!

Think we're dreaming if we think we gonna bring in 1 difference maker, let alone 3-4!!!!
