Slippy G should be sacked. They play like crap, have spent money for him, and the fans are starting to lose it. He has a terrible record too

Yeah, Archie Manning is insane and I don't think there's a soccer equivalent to him. I'm thinking the closest is Mazinho, who was world champ with Brazil in 1994 and is Thiago Alcantara and Rafinha's dad.

But just getting maybe 2 out of the 3 to play college would be huge. Shit's crazy expensive now and I'm sure it'll be outrageous 10-15 years from now.

For sure. Soccer is expensive in the US, as well, though. If I pulled them from soccer and saved every dollar otherwise spent on fees, uniforms, and travel over the years, I’d probably have enough saved to send them all to college.

It’s going to be another of those examples where people say, “See, the owners *do* spend money like all the other big clubs,” despite it being another example of gross incompetence from the club. They waited until late in the window when Ajax’s team had already been ravaged to the point that they didn’t want to sell anyone else.

The Maldinis might be the best father-son combo ever but Mazinho has TWO sons reach the highest level. That's really hard to compare to.

Mazinho had 35 caps for world champs Brazil, Thiago has 46 in Spain's greatest generation, and Rafinha has 2 for Brazil but has played in pretty big clubs.

Rodgers at Villa? I wouldn't be surprised.
